Water polo has a rocky start

The Jurupa Valley High School girls’ water polo team currently has one win and two losses. The team began playing league games on Jan. 5, 2012.
Their first league game was against Arlington High School on Jan. 5, 2012. The girls lost this game.
The second league game was against Ramona High School on Tuesday, Jan. 10. The varsity girls defeated Ramona with a score of 16-2.
On Tuesday, Jan. 17, both the varsity and junior varsity girls played against La Sierra High School. The varsity girls lost 12-1 and the J.V. team lost 11-1.
The Varsity Girls played Norte DameHigh Schoolon Thursday, Jan. 19. The final score was 15-4, Norte Dame
During this season, the girls hope to improve on their skills. Assistant coach Mrs. Rebecca Lytle said, “Our girls have a really good team spirit!”
Coach Elder said she wants the girls to have a fun season with the each other and learn new skills.
