The Jurupa Valley High School band performed a Holiday Concert on Thursday, Dec. 1 in the JVHS auditorium.

The students who performed in the woodwinds were Flute: Krysten Cox, Tabitha Dennis, Rebecca Gomez, Kaitlyn McArdle (Bassoom/Saxophone) Clarinet: Karina Barajas, Katherine Barron (trumpet), Sasha Montes, Mikaela Rodriguez, Perla Teran. Bass Clarinet: Alondra Melendrez. Alto Saxophones: Ty Allen, Johnny Mendoza, Sinporion Phuong, Veronica Pereciado. Tenor Saxophone: Hector Mendez.

The Brass included Trumpet: Martin Gutierrez, Rachel Preleyko, Ismael Salazar. French horn: Alicia-Marie Kodis. Trombone: Emilee Francis. Euphonium/Baritone: Anissa Becerra, Andres Jimenez. Tuba: Ernesto Colorado.

The Percussion included Jose Amaya, Edgar Ascencio, Nadine Becerra, Diana Castro, Aldrin Flores, Johnny Leal, Rudy Mejia, Cory Minyard (Clarinet), Pablo Sahagun, Eric Velasquez.

They played “In the Christmas Mood,” by Mike Wasson, “Largo(From Winter),” by Antonio Vivaldia, and “Ukrainian Bell Carol,” by Traditional James Cacavas, and “Christimas on the Town,” by Ayattey Shabazz.
